Welcome to GMA!
OUR CLUB….A private membership club made up of 260 plus members and one of the premier flying sites in the Nation, we are committed to promoting our great hobby and making an impact on our community as a valuable resource to encourage aviation. Complete with 22 covered workbenches, our site includes 66 acres of land with an 800 ft. fully maintained Asphalt runway and parallel Bermuda Grass Runway, we can handle just about any and all types and sizes of aircraft. On any given day you will see Electric Foamies and glow planes, 40% IMAC pattern Planes and even turbine jets.
OUR PURPOSE…GMA sponsors an Aeronautics Club at a local High School Campus, gives annually to Muscular Dystrophy, supports the Boys and Girls Club of Forsyth County, helps our area Boys and Girls Scouts achieve aviation merit badges and holds community events to promote aviation and encourage RC Flying. Plus, our Club was selected to host a Global University Aeronautics event called “SAE” where over 70 Universities from all over the world come together annually for competition in aerodynamics design and flight.
OUR COMMUNITY…Although we are a private membership, our gates are wide open to the visiting public. The community has an open invitation to visit, watch and even enjoy a picnic lunch with us as we fly. Our members love to answer your questions and explain more about our hobby. We want to be a positive, encouraging influence and a friendly neighbor to Forsyth and the surrounding counties because we fully embrace the importance of re-investing all that we have been given.
