New Sound System
Thanks to Mike Kinsey for the outstanding sound system that has been installed at the field. It was put to good use at the recent Combat event, where the portable Microphone was put to good use.

Good People Doing Good Things
In a recent socializing session at the field, it became know that GMA member Art Neto was a talented musician, banjo picker that is. Another potential member joined in and identified himself as a Mandolin picker. Through this editor’s previous dealings in thinking about trying to learn to play a banjo, Walt Mitchell was contacted to see if perhaps we could
entice him to loan his banjo to Art. Well, Walt brought the banjo out, and not only loaned it, but gave it to Art. Art picked a few pieces of Dueling Banjos and I can’t wait to hear a full presentation from Art.

More Good Things
On that same Banjo day, Walt unfortunately became disoriented while flying one of his own creations. Several members were able to retrieve it from the banks of the Etowah. Walt decided he didn’t want it any more, so he removed his radio and engine and donated it to the club. The plane has only minor damage and Art is in the process of patching it up and it will soon be offered as an auction item or for sale for the benefit of the club.

Congratulations Christopher Zauche
Young (14 year old) Christopher had the cord cut in April and is now flying on his own. Dad Steve has to be mighty proud to have two young teen age sons to go fly with.

And Even More Good Things
In March, Rob Purks brought out a few cub scouts to introduce them to our great hobby. Rob was assisted by Stan Erwin, Steve Zauche, Ben Adams, Chris Dover and Don Whittaker.
