OVERHEARD AT THE FIELD
My wife said I had to choose between her and this hobby.  I sure do miss her.

MEMBERSHIP DUES
The Board has made their annual review regarding dues for 2007 and have decided to keep them at $200 for the next year.

FAKE DEER
It has been reported that the game and fish commission is using dummy deer in their effort to catch hunters hunting deer illegally.  They even have the dummy deer with moving parts.  When a game warden was asked how he controls the movement, he showed a transmitter and commented that it was one of these things like they use to fly those model airplanes.  Hopefully, it is only similar... and operating on the 75 mhz frequency instead of 72 mhz.  If anyone sees or hears of any game wardens in our area using fake deer, let us know so they can be checked out.

SPONSORS
GMA board member Rex Briant introduced a sponsorship program that will benefit the club and hopefully benefit the sponsor.  We welcome Cliff Whitney and Atlanta Hobby as our first Platinum member.

CONGRATULATIONS

The GMA Family Day event is scheduled for Sunday, May 27.

CLEANUP & FIELD CARE
Please help keep the area clean by picking up trash, paper towels, empty cans, cigarette butts, etc., and place them in the trash cans.
Also, if you drive a vehicle out into the field, please do not drive on the asphalt runway or the bermuda runway.  Drive Around.
If you are the last member to leave the field, please be sure to lock the gate.

TREASURY
As reported in the last newsletter we have moved our banking to another bank where we opened a money market account.  We continue to maintain a minimum amount in the checking account to pay our bills, enabling us to maintain a larger balance in the money marked account.  Currently, the money market account has about $19,000 and is earning about $70 a month.
